Hosted by APELL, the European Open Source Business Association, the APELL Conference 2025 is the fourth edition of our annual event. After its successful predecessors in Toulouse, Helsinki, and Berlin, this year it will take place in Warsaw, Poland.
The current situation in international relations and trade makes it clear: increasing technological sovereignty cannot wait. Only Open Source technology provides the freedoms to use, study, share, and improve, thus bringing back control over the technology we use, allowing insight and oversight. This event coincides with the Polish EU Presidency, offering an invaluable opportunity for high-level engagement with peers and thought leaders shaping Europe’s digital future.

The APELL Conference takes place on Tuesday 10 June from 11:00-18:00 CEST, on the day before the OpenForum Europe Capital Series Poland. Together, both events will look at the needs of Open Source businesses and what the political level can do to realise the potential of European Open Source.
